I have a sansui hdlcd1908 tv. It has a Coaxial Digital Audio Cable out put. I was wondering if i can hook up a home theater system to it if the home theater has a audio in. if so i can watch regular tv channels and the sound is coming out of the home theater system.
Why does sound not work on my TV in home theater set-up?
Ok, this feels like a question that may be difficult to answer over the internet but i'll give it a try. I bought a new receiver, hooked up to TV, DVD player and TIVO box. The problem is i can't run the sound through my receiver when i watch TV It works perfectly when i use the DVD player . I was able to get it working briefly for some channels but not others, but now i can't even get that. Possibly i have a defective cable? I have gone through the manual troubleshooting suggestions and none worked. Any thoughts would be highly appreciated.I have an HD cable going from my receiver to my Tivo box and to my TV. Do i need more cables than that?
Setting up home theater?
ok, so im getting a home theater soon, i read that it supports hdmi and when i use the dvd player that came with it the picture will be amazing when i use the dvd player that came with it. Now my xbox 360 is already set up to my 720p i always use HD when i play 360 so if i use the dvd player instead of the 360 will the quality be higher. if i confused you let me know.
Why can't I get sound from my tv through my home theater system?
I have a sony bravia home theater model dav hdx285. My tv is a sharp 42 inch model lc42sb45u.I've hooked up as follows coaxial cable from wall to cable box, cable box to tv, tv to theater.i followed the manual still doesn't work. Even emailed sony, did everything they said but it didn't work either. DVDS & cds are fine through the system, just can't get tv sound through theater system.
How do you get more power to your home theater subs?
Here's the situation.. I got a home theater system with two LARGE front towers one tower houses two 12" bass drivers, a 6" midrange midbass driver, and a tweeter , and 3 surround speakers with one tweeter and 5" midrange midbass driver in each box. My question is this, and dont get me wrong, it gets extremely loud.. But I think theres more bass to be had.The 12" FOUR of them bass drivers at full volume seem like they can handle ALOT more volume than what they do when my volume is maxed out, they produce nice clean and boomy bass, but they hardly even move. I'd like to see these 12's really get after it and move a bit, which would eliminate the need to seek a seperate powered subwoofer. It actually suprises me a bit that they produce so much bass at such a small excursion, but I'd like to put that big ass surround they have to use and get them moving alot more.any suggestions on getting these 12" bass drivers more juice?testing somethingok, heres some additional details I purchased this entire setup as a whole.. meaning the reciever and speakers, dvd player, and everything else came as a set. If links work here, this is one of the towers i178.photobucket.com albums w244 Midgear album STEREO1.jpgsimply browze my photobucket images for additional pictures of the system. I believe the reciever is a 660 watt Sony reciever, Model Number STR DG510. the front towers have ONE SINGLE INPUT. One and one on the back of the tower, which sends power through all the speakers in said tower. There are internal filters that send the appropriate frequencies to the appropriate driver.MORE DETAILS a wider picture i178.photobucket.com albums w244 Midgear album Entertainment004.jpgand to K, I know what " crappy" sound sounds like, distortion and the like. this system reproduces sound exceptionally well, such clarity and detail even at extreme listening volumes, it'll destroy your hearing before you begin to hear distortion. I just wanted to know if there was a way to get more from the bass drivers.Keep thinking of crap to add lol..The bass drivers are in a sort of bandpass setup.. You'll notice in the pictures that they are sitting behind a real thick plexiglass window, and there is a huge port on the back of the tower where air can get in and out. and yes, that's blue velvet carpeting inside there.
